Brigand's Haven

Old, Fine tune to fix for a similar space station in the new sector.

Brigand’s Haven is a 74 level space station not found in any system but within the Aaaaaaaa Cluster. It is a large cylindrical structure, that utilizes it’s engines and Repulsors bounce back and forth between the largest of asteroids to maintain a steady and nearly predictable drift. The asteroids gravity would normally pull the station into it, however gravity projectors carefully constructed and placed on the exterior of the station allow it to maintain said drift.

The station was originally constructed as a Sith listening outpost for their future Outer Rim incursion into Republic Space. After the Great Galactic War however, Smugglers and pirates managed to annex it. The station thousands of years later would be corporatized by Selkin & Selkin, an old and largely forgotten scientific corporation that spent the majority on their resources obtaining the station. When the Science Firm paid every clan, ring, and pirate off to leave. They held the station for almost two decades before they ran out of resources, and when they tried to sell the station to recuperate their losses to Daer the Hutt, they instead lost in completely in addition to their company. The remainder of their assets were liquidated to catapult Daer the Hutt into the criminal underworld of the Dalonbian Sector.

Daer the Hutt used the station at first to spy on world’s and to see what they refused to tolerate or to see what they would ban from consumer use, and then would find a way to get it and covertly get these things into the various ecosystems and economies. He apprehended the station prior to The Clone Wars. When the Clone Wars hit, Daer sold off many of the ships sections to entrepreneurs, displaced victims of war, and those wishing to escape their previous criminal lives.

When docking a d12 is rolled to determine traffic, and similarly rolled when trying to call your ship for leaving. The station is comprised of 74 levels, however the bottom 60 are sealed off featureless storage bays for those who keep their ship’s on the station and for those visiting. Level 1, which is where the ships dock before said ships are sent to other levels is technically level 60, but nothing officially indicates such a thing. Level 1 is where you dock, and where an official of the starport Aspect gives you the necessary information. Sil 4 ships and lower may dock, anything larger must find somewhere else to dock and use transports to get onto the station.

Station Security is only found on Level 1, Level 10, Level 12, Level 13, and Level 14. Level 1 for docking protocols, Level 10 for Security around Daer’s Combat Hall, Level 12 for protecting the engineering Bay and reactor, Level 13 for security of food and water for the station (rumors have it that it’s only for Daer and his people), and Level 14 for Security of the controlling systems of the station. Station Security on all levels are handled by HK-50 Assassin Droids, and on Level 1 by a handpicked staff of officials under Daer’s thumb.

Level 1: Starport – Limited Service
There are 3 primary docking channels, DB10A / DB10B / DB10C. Each has a ray shield protected gondola that has the controls for its connected Bay. To get past the magnetically sealed blast doors, you must enter your money for 1 days worth of stay, then you will be given your assigned Docking Bay number to where your ship is taken. When returning, a similar procedure is taken to where you cannot get past the door unless your prospective ship has paid.

Instead of traditional means of docking costs and what not, the costs are fixed so that there can be no leniency amongst friends or foes of Daer the Hutt. Sil x 200 credits per day. Your ship does not get registered by any means and cargo manifests do not matter. However, a biological scan takes place to ensure that each recipient is known when docking on the station as soon as each person walks through the bay doors. Contagious and detrimental diseases are quarantined here as BioTech Industries has a holding here and collects those with said diseases for study and testing, however it is under the guise of station security.

Once out of the bay, there is a large common area with elevators in the middle. The common area has terminals for buying or selling tickets, it has automated updating for incoming and outgoing vessels by name linked to the transmitted transponder code. There is also a lot of seating for those waiting to leave on their own, or another ship. Time is estimated by a d12, each 10 minutes or 1 turn.

Level 2 Residential Quarters
There is a wing for each direction, n / s / e / w. Each wing services the small, enclosed sleeping quarters for up to 200 people each. There are 10 rows of rooms, with cramped hallways for people to get through, each row holding 10 rooms on the ground with a ladder aside it which went up to a second floor of rooms as well as a small platform that had a small Repulsor at the bottom to lift any things a person may need up to their respective room. The rooms themselves were 300 Sq ft. And had a kitchen, a bedroom, a living room, and a refresher. Each room was about 10 feet tall.

Level 3 Fixer Level
This level had facilities to fix people, droids, gear, and vehicle components.

-BioTech Industries has a hospital on this level called BioEmergency Clinic. BioTech Industries staffed about 30 physicians with 1 doctor for every 5. The nurses were typically droids. They were able to accommodate all sorts of ailments and wounds. There is a small automated machine that sells the following, and resets once a day. Dx amount for what’s remaining when you get there.
10x Stimpacks – 50 Cr
10x Synthskin (1×1) – 15 Cr
10x Adrenals – 40 Cr
10x Stimulant Agents – 75 Cr
50x Chemicals – 10 Cr

There is a small reception and waiting area in the entrance as well, handled by Droid Server X121182. There is also a screen that has a waiting time, next to a digital clock showing off the time. The waiting time is done by d100, less than 50 d6 every 1 is 10 minutes, above 50 and a d6 is but in hours.

There are about 30 rooms, and then the clinic has the 45 and 90 wing. The 45 Wing is where the company does tests on those diseased. The 90 wing is known as the Cybernetic Procedure Room.

-Whartonkin Family Droids: Droid Center
This feature is ran by family of Sullustans. They do not sell droids, nor do they buy them, but with cash upfront, they will fix them or sell you parts. They have 16 oil baths, and a table to fix them manually. Wheskon deals with customers, the eldest brother.

The Whartonkin Family came to the station with Daer the Hutt so long ago. They started out small, but in the last generation or two they managed to gain the contract and it’s been holding up ever since because the dynasty of a family has always retained a love for Droid tinkering.

Level 4 The Greenery
The Atrium-Gardens are more of a common area than it is an area for food. It is an area for people to have open views of the space around the station, as well as to lounge in a rather open area with seating and tables. Some of the spacers, traders, and commoners like to come to The Greenery for meetings and for peace time. The station tends to be busy and constantly moving around, so it’s a nice change of pace. Light instrumental music plays out on the speakers on this level.

All of the music is done by live DJs and Instrumentalists, and Vortex generally has a long, long line of people who wait in The Persuasive Mynock until they can get inside. Vortex limits their outside people to 25 max, however, people are turned away all the time so a lot of people wait hours in lines just to never get to the front.
