The Grand Arena is a gladiatorial combat and entertainment haven for the gamblers and bloodletters. The Arena is officially sanctioned and brings people from across the sector for merriment and gore. There are different levels of the Grand Arena, some being smaller and hosting the younger and less adept fighters while others are giant in scale and have everything from reenactments of monumental events from history to team coordinated slaughter fests.

Swoop Tracks

Swoop Tracks are generally beneath the surface and host a myriad of aliens alike to race for the best recorded times on a constructed track. Swoop Tracks typically call in spectators, racers, and gangs from local levels to the inter-sector. Swoop Tracks host a level of high entertainment and are less rare than Pod Racing.

Pod Racing

Pod Racing is an extremely dangerous and high prestige event. Some species cannot even compete because of how fast paced the sport is. Pod Racing includes heavy gambling, and usually the eyes of nobles, criminals, and all. Pod Racing is generally topside the surface and spans acres and acres of land.

Gambling Events

Gambling Events cover everything from Sabacc tournaments to Baz Nitch fights. These can be located almost anywhere as they can be as official and grand as any sanctioned event to tiny and underground for those who wish to bypass laws like coercion.

Art Installations

Art Installations are typically exhibitions of art for either the most prestigious viewers and buyers to public access. Art Installations cover everything from museum to street art. They can be the main event to galas or open ended for artists to come together to culminate their life’s work.

Science / Research Installations

These installations can be bases set on foreign worlds to space stations orbiting a sun. They collect data, experiment on variables, and generally test the unknown. They can be anywhere, and research anything. From first time discoveries to long term equations ripe with answers.

Religious Installations

Religious Installations can be everything from cleric halls, statues of dieties, cult rituals, and temples. They cover everything from monotheistic gods to spiritual wakes. Religious Installations can almost be anything, and only requires that someone somewhere believes in something usually more divine than tangible.

Prison Installations

The prison installations can be capital ships converted into solitary holdings to mass structures encasing criminals of guilt and innocence to harbor them from the greater society. Prison Installations generally require a warden, funding, guards, and criminals. They can be righteous and just, or corrupt and greedy.

Universities are schooling systems that cover a myriad of subjects to one central main idea. Usually full of scholastic knowledge and educated teachers, universities are meant for those who seek to pay someone of reputation to teach them about whatever it is they want, or to ascertain enough knowledge to prove themselves qualified for specific tasks.

These can be anything like a temple or a sacred ground. Very similar to religious installations, however, Star Wars being Star Wars, it helps to have the designation as they’ll usually be much different than a statue of a diety for example.

News or Journalistic Installations

These installations can be everything from printing presses to HoloNet manipulators to radio stations and broadcasted bias or unbiased anything. They can report the complete truth, be there at every event and explain what they see while they can also be corrupt, used to push agendas and gather money for greed. They can be located in a capital city and report on everything happening in the city, or a handful of people in a handful of ships, migrating, trying to gather the major news of every world to share with their listeners and viewers.

Secret Societies

Secret Societies are usually self regulated and beneath the surface. Almost all members of a secret society keep the information they gather to themselves, though it’s not too uncommon for someone to use the information to their advantage and get caught doing so. Secret Societies are usually illegal, and the very mention of them are usually passed off as unimaginable myths. Secret Societies can cover everything from a fraternity to a group of corporate leaders to really anything.

Artesian Guilds are groups of people who aim to teach others, spread their knowledge, or to enact criticism amongst themselves in order to benefit from their work. Artesian guilds can make a home on a single planet in a single city to orchestrating a vast network of artesians who travel and spread their art, music, and all to anyone who will give them a second.

Commerce Guild

Commerce Guilds are typically groups of merchants who aims to work together in order to protect their trades in open space, to perfect deals with those they themselves are not connected with, to contribute to a larger corporation so that they can maintain production without having to sell the goods themselves. Commerce Guilds typically revolve around money, and can be headed by a council to ensure fair trade and legislature. A commerce guild with a great reputation may be able to get goods onto a world where said goods are illegal by knowing the right people or, well, bribing them.

Investigation Services

Investigation Services are companies or even singular people who take cases to further investigate something that may or may not come across local, government, or faction police systems. Hired privately, usually through contract, these are people who look for lost persons, answers, or really anything. Businesses may hire a PI to investigate another business before doing a deal with them, or a distraught person might seek out a PI to find out if their significant other is seeing someone else. A person may have lost a family member and hire a PI to seek them out.
